We are a home based arts business based in beautiful northern Tasmania, just outside the small but very creative town of Deloraine. Jacque is an artist who specialises in sculpting, especially garden art figures. When not doing clay work, Jacque paints and quilts. John sells books and CDs, especially music by Tasmanian musicians, who, despite the fact that we have a recording studio in town, are too modest to make CDs. We can be found at the Deloraine market on the first Saturday of each month, starting in September. We are exploring other appropriate markets and venues. In the fullness of time we will be setting up workshops etc. so keep an eye on our blogspot for these and other ventures. These are some of Jacque's paintings from the last few years. They are in no particular order.



Aislingean. Acrylic & pumice stone mortar.
 
The title is from the Gaelic word meaning "dreaming" in its feminine form. The Celtic cross has been built up with pumice stone mortar, carved and then painted.

Jacque painted this for an art award in Latrobe, just outside Devonport. The theme was "A Sense of Community" and as Jacque had enjoyed doing some quilting with a group in Latrobe, this seemed to be an appropriate painting to enter.

This is the first in a series which Jacque is calling "My Favourite Things". We're not sure what the next in line will be, probably cats, rabbits or snowdomes!

This is one of Jacque's more abstract paintings. When I left for work one morning in New Zealand, this was the start of a landscape. By the time I got home, this was what it had turned out to be!
